The people’s champ of the modern folk scene Beans On Toast is back with a new poignant and thought-provoking single, Faith In The Moon, taken from his most recent album Wild Goose Chasers. And Beans also confirms the forthcoming dates for the second leg of his Wild Goose Chase UK Tour.
Beans On Toast has developed a very strong and well-deserved reputation for his sharp political insight as he continues on his mission to inform, challenge and inspire change in the world which so often appears to be disintegrating around us all as we somehow forge ahead with our daily lives. His most recent album, Wild Goose Chasers, took a slightly more unconventional and inwardly reflective view on life as he drew on folklore and mythology to create a whole new perspective on the future whilst still retaining an over-riding sense of eternal optimism for the human spirit which underpins so many of his songs.
As we now navigate our way through a new year, whilst the madness in the world that surrounds us all continues unabated and seemingly unchecked, Beans now releases a new single from the album, Faith In The Moon, which provides us with a little time and space to pause for some self-reflection, as well as confirming dates for the second leg of The Wild Goose Chase Tour.

Faith In The Moon is a slow, poignant and thought provoking reminder for us all to not lose touch with some of the smaller things in life which we take for granted and so often get lost within our busy lives. The narrative says it all, “Don’t worry about the big things while the little things fall apart, Don’t forget about the feeling of the ground between your toes, and don’t forget the things that deep down inside you’ve always known.” The beautifully stark presentation of the song fits the mood and sentiment perfectly with Beans’ vocals being accompanied only by the classically honed and sympathetically shaped piano of Matt Millership.
Beans On Toast continues his Wild Goose Chase Tour in March focusing very much on some of the country’s finest independent venues. Beans will once again be accompanied by Matt Millership on piano, promising that each “show will be a celebration of music, friendship, nature, and what it means to be human.” For this final batch of shows Beans will be joined by his friend and mentor from Australia, William Crighton.
