Jelly Roll earns his seventh No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart as “Liar” ascends from 2 to 1 on the ranking for Feb. 22. It saw a 1% increase to 30.3 million impressions from Feb. 7-13, as reported by Luminate.
The Nashville artist collaborated on “Liar” alongside Ashley Gorley, Ben Johnson and Taylor Phillips. Zach Crowell is the producer of the song.
This song serves as the second single from Jelly Roll’s album Beautifully Broken, which debuted at No. 1 on both the Top Country Albums and the overall Billboard 200 last October, signifying his first leadership on each chart. His previous album, Whitsitt Chapel, peaked and positioned at Nos. 2 and 3 on the charts, respectively, in June 2023.
Trending on Billboard
As “Liar” claims the top position in Country Airplay during its 14th week on the chart, Jelly Roll completes his fastest ascent to No. 1. Previously, he required 21 weeks to hit the top with “I Am Not Okay” and “Halfway to Hell,” both in 2024.
All seven of Jelly Roll’s entries on Country Airplay have reached the top of the chart, tying him with Kane Brown for the longest current No. 1 streak. Meanwhile, Brown is striving for his eighth consecutive leader, with his current single, “Backseat Driver” (Zone 4/RCA Nashville), climbing back to its No. 22 peak (7.9 million, rising 5%).
Back ‘Home’ in the Top 10
LOCASH makes its way back into the Country Airplay top 10 as “Hometown Home” advances from 11 to 9 (17.2 million, increasing by 4%). This marks the fourth top 10 entry for the duo of Preston Brust and Chris Lucas, and their first since “One Big Country Song,” which reached No. 2 in August 2020. Their song “I Know Somebody” ruled for one week in October 2016, following “I Love This Life” that peaked at No. 2 that January.
