Howie Roseman, the Philadelphia Eagles‘ general manager, copped a nasty cut to the forehead after a beer can was flung his way during their Super Bowl victory parade in Philadelphia. After Nick Sirianni’s team clinched an epic 40-22 win in New Orleans on Sunday, Eagles supporters flooded Philly streets to hail their champs.
The Eagles torpedoed the Kansas City Chiefs’ dreams of a “three-peat” at Caesars Superdome, settling scores from their 2023 Super Bowl defeat. Jalen Hurts, who was named Super Bowl MVP, and his teammates were engulfed by a sea of fans eager for an emotional comeback bash in Pennsylvania.
Yet the jubilations took a turn for the worse when GM Roseman was hit by a beer can, leaving him with a forehead slash amid the festivities. The crowd first clocked the bloody mishap when the team’s bus paraded past the renowned Art Museum.
NBC Sports Philadelphia’s John Clark caught wind of the fiasco chatting with linebacker Josh Sweat on air during the procession. As Roseman sauntered by with a victory cigar and sporting a fresh gash, Clark quizzed, “Howie what happened? ” To which the GM simply shot back, “Beer can,” doubling down on his crisp reply before Clark cut in, remarking, “He’s bleeding.”
Sweat disclosed with a chuckle that he “laughed” at the injured general manager “a little bit when it happened,” and confessed, “I know that he’s mad at me,” before noting: “They throwing food, cans and bottled, that’s part of it.”, reports the Mirror US.
The culprit behind the beer can thrown at Roseman, who was left with a gash but no serious harm, remains unidentified. In another incident, Eagles’ Cooper DeJean also ended up with a “battle-scar” after accidentally hitting himself with a “big a–” bottle of Bud Light during the celebrations.

Despite the mishap, DeJean was overjoyed, later telling local TV: “[It] might be the best day of my life. I knew it was going to be crazy, but not this crazy. I’ve had a lot of people asking me to be their Valentine, but I’m just having a blast out here.”
The young star had an outstanding first season with the Eagles, contributing to their Super Bowl victory and scoring a touchdown on his 22nd birthday in the big match against the Chiefs.
Josh Shapiro, Governor of Pennsylvania, later had a few words to say about Roseman’s injury at the parade. He stated: “Philly, you put on ha helluva parade today. Everything was perfect. Except for some of y’all who didn’t know how to toss a beer nicely. You fired it too hard — just ask Howie Roseman.”
