Sam Fender has broadened his 2025 U.K. summer tour by adding three additional dates.
This announcement comes just ahead of the North Shields artist’s third album People Watching, which is set to release next Friday (Feb. 21) via Polydor. This record signifies Fender’s first full-length album since his 2021 Mercury Prize-nominated work, Seventeen Going Under.
The first of the newly added shows will take place at Wythenshawe Park in Manchester on August 16, followed by a performance at the Royal Highland Showgrounds in Edinburgh the next week (August 22) as part of the Summer Sessions series in the Scottish capital. On August 28, Fender will headline the VITAL Festival at Boucher Road Playing Fields in Belfast.

These performances will follow Fender’s previously scheduled European and U.S. tours during the spring, along with three sold-out shows at St. James’ Park in Newcastle (June 12-15) and the London Stadium (June 6). He is also set to perform at Radio 1’s Big Weekend festival in Sefton Park, Liverpool, on May 24 – bringing his U.K. summer schedule to a total of eight shows.
£1 from each ticket sold for the stadium performances will go to selected cultural organizations such as Youth Music and Sunday for Sammy, aimed at supporting the arts in the North East of England.
Last month, Fender received nominations for artist of the year and best alternative/rock act at The BRIT Awards 2025, which is scheduled for Mar. 1 at London’s O2 Arena.
