The 19-year-old from Oldham releases If I Fade, his first single since his In My Vision EP back in June
Zeny’s stock is on the rise. Following his well-received In My Vision EP, released digitally during the Summer months, collating his previous releases (now available on CD from Manchester’s Vinyl Revival) he delivers another belting track, If I Fade.
One of Manchester’s talented young singer songwriters, Zeny doesn’t hide from tackling real issues which impact on us all. On the EP he touched on mental health via tracks like Better Dreams and Pass A Day. With If I Fade, again recorded and produced
by SHADE frontman Luke Owens at his studio Dusk Till Dawn, he addresses the subject again, reminding people of the struggles people face and offering comfort in the fact that those suffering aren’t on their own.
What I like about Zeny is he wears his heart on his sleeve, both in his music and on Social Media. He’s direct and unflinchingly honest, whether celebrating success or voicing his opinions. His self-awareness being highlighted in one line, “No one seems to give a damn, but I know who I really am.”
Over recent weeks the artist has appeared on Tameside Radio, chatting with local legends Dave Sweetmore and Laura Beth and also appearing performing If I Fade live on BBC Manchester Radio and recording a Desi Stories for the corporation, which you can hear here.
As 2024 comes to a close Zeny is definitely one to watch. A regular performer on the live scene, one gig to watch out for is 2025’s After All Festival set for 10th May in Manchester City Centre (tickets available now)
